Mountainside Theatre Operations Manager

Department: Operations
Reports to: Operations Director
Location: Mountainside Theatre, 688 Drama Rd, Cherokee, NC

Primary Function: Ensures the efficient operation of the Box Office, Retail, Concessions, and Beer & Wine Kiosk at Mountainside Theatre while providing excellent customer service. 

Job Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for managing Box Office, Concessions, and Retail leads to ensure efficient operation, inventory management, and accurate money handling, and reporting
  • Maintains professional conduct and appearance
  • Assists with customer service needs
  • Completes nightly report to be submitted to the Operations Director
  • Responsible for making nightly cash deposits for theatre operations
  • Monitors inventory for ordering purposes and conducts monthly inventory count
  • Responsible for maintaining clean and organized workspaces through the creation of cleaning schedules and operationational checklists 

Job Experience and Skills: 

  • Must be proficient with computers
  • Familiarity with POS systems and ticketing is a plus
  • Must have two years of management experience
  • Must have strong math skills and ability to accurately handle cash
  • Possesses knowledge of Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians culture
  • Must be able to multitask efficiently
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, self-starter. Must work without close supervision
  • Must be able to work effectively as a member of a team or independently 
  • Must be able to life up to 20 pounds and carry up to 15 pounds
  • Valid driver’s license required
